2017
As 2017 drawers to a close, we can look back and celebrate all that the Lord has done. This last year has seen the number of listens around the world skyrocket. Our talks have been played 3,648 times this year. That beats last years total by over 1,000 plays.
This year we had 209 children in attendance at CityHill over the course of the year. Our total in the history of CityHill is 379. Wow, what a year for kids at our church.
2,108 people have been to CityHill in our history 823 of those have been this year.
What was so key for us in 2017. Well, I would say Media.
Crushed
So many people have been crushed by a church, at some stage in their life. Many told they are not good enough, moral enough or maybe not anointed enough – not even sure I know what that means.
People like YOU don’t ________ <–fill in any number of blanks.
CityHill is a unique space. But when you tell people that, they have heard it all before. People have told them before that a church is different only to settle down, get their feet under the desk and find out that it is not. It is just more of the same.
Coming to a church for the first time is a big deal, it can be filled with anxiety for many who have had such bad experiences of church previously. One way that we can take the sting out of the visit is by allowing people to see CityHill as clearly as possible BEFORE they visit. Media lets us do just that.
Light em up
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

CityHill London exists because of the words of Jesus. He spoke – we follow and pursue those words and make them our mission.
“LIGHTING up OUR world so that people far from God can find life in Christ”
The mission is constantly pursued but never achieved, you never tick it off you just become about THAT LIFE!
You are not about that life until you act on it. Put the words into action. Jesus was about that LIFE, what His Father said and did – He said and did. You cannot see light – LIGHT reveals what is there. As 2017 drawers to a close, I want to call you to give to our ME-dia Pledge campaign. Together we can LIGHT EM UP!
If CityHill was able to get a high-quality DSLR for photos plus video we could save the money we currently spend on photographers and redirect it to other areas. It would also give us the opportunity to upskill members who may have an interest in photography. Media will be key in helping CityHill London achieve its vision in 2018. Help us LIGHT EM UP!
