Black-Ink

Black-Ink is a CityHill London sponsored New Realities project. We wanted to give a voice to black young people, to help them be heard by the wider community, local government and police. We believe only by hearing their stories can we help creating a brighter New Reality for our City. The creative project for black young people is being run by Writerz & Scribez.

We understand that it has been extremely difficult to carry and process emotions around police brutality and systemic racism. We want to provide our community with space to discuss how this is affecting us. Using the mediums of written art with sessions, we will respond to society whilst giving space for personal experiences and promoting wellbeing..

In response to the murder of George Floyd we sponsored a creative writing session by Writers & Scribez for black young people to express their experience. This was the powerful creative piece that was created.
