This Sunday is a CityHill first. We are having our first silent sermon. On Sunday morning the talk will be made available via video on the CityHill website, but the link will only be shared at the service. After a time of corporate worship, follow the Sunday sermon at your own pace. All you need to take part is a smart phone and a pair of headphones, so this Sunday make sure you have both with you.

If you want, why not bring headphone splitters so you can share with a friend, listening together at the same time. You could also get creative, find a spot on one of the pews opposite the bar for some time alone with a notepad… take notes, draw- listen to what God is saying to YOU through the sermon.

Take advantage of this moment that allows you to pause, rewind and reflect on your thoughts, then carry on at your own pace.

We believe that God is going to do some thing very special this Sunday. Make sure you do not keep that to yourself but invite some one along this week. The Silent Sermon is such an accessible way of doing church removing so many barriers. IF you have a friend who may come that isn’t familiar with the Christian tradition you could even listen and watch together on one phone with splitter headphones to pause and discuss whenever you want.
