Father’s Day Is Coming

Father’s Day gift ideas can be hard to come by.  Like every other national celebration, Father’s Day is a commercial asset. It is all about that gift, or a card – at least. I feel as if we as a church would fail you if we did not take the time to throw out some curveball gift ideas for your father/father figure.

Sock It

If you have been blessed with a good Dad, then you have experienced many jolly days with him. Which leads me to our first gift recommendation. Socks. When you become a man and have kids you lose the right to ever have a gift that is not a pair of socks. You are not a Salmon, you cannot swim upstream so why bother. Don’t fight it embrace it.

These are no mere socks – they are Jollie’s socks. One does not wear Jollie’s, one wears and shares. You see with every purchase a homeless person will also receive a pair of socks. So for Fathers day, you can pimp out not just your Dad but a homeless man also. Win – Win.

Its In The Details

Dad’s are always full of relevant and irrelevant facts, let’s face it sometimes the line is so blurred I am not convinced they can even tell the difference between which are and those that aren’t.

This Father’s Day is your chance to blow them away with a gift that will blow their mind. The banner in the picture below asks the question who made your shirt? That is a question most, if not all of us find hard to answer. Well, not anymore –  that is of course if you buy your day a shirt from Brothers We Stand the Ethical men’s online clothing retailer.

There is so much injustice in the world of fashion, so many skilled workers enslaved by the system while designers walk around like rock stars. What better gift for Father’s Day than some Ethical clothing to thank the man in your life who helped shape your ethics.

Adventure Day

Had a good year? Got some extra cash – what about an adventure day. Groupon have some good deals as do Red Letter Days. Or take a moment to think back to past stories your parents have shared about their upbringing and connect the dots. A free museum exhibition, gallery or event. Timeout is always worth a shout, there are tons of free events happening all the time in London.

There you have it, folks,  a gift that makes a difference, one to thank a man who helped shape your ethics and finally a thoughtful experience you can cherish together.
